Winter Sports

Standard travel policies do not extend to cover hazardous winter sports such as skiing. 
 

Specialist winter sports insurance will cover you for medical expenses if you are injured and for legal costs and compensation for which you are liable if you cause an accident in which someone else is injured. It can be extended to cover you for loss of ski pass, ski equipment, delay of ski equipment, piste closure and avalanche. 
 

You should also be aware of the cover provided for off piste skiing, sledging, snowboarding and rescue cover.
